My Book...

Hello...I do hope that all of you enjoyed your holiday...Those of us in FunTown are still celebrating...not only did we have sugary holiday cookies, candies and bubbly party punch...FunTown is over the moon about their book. They have patiently waited for me to get this book completed for so many years. They had just about given up. But...now there is dancing in the streets.

The day before I left for Tokyo  this giant truck pulled up to deliver my storybook..."Welcome to FunTown."

My helpful husband Tim...the president of the Small Potatoes Publishing Company Shipping Department prepared the books to ship out. That was nice of him...

He sealed them in plastic wrap just to insure that they would not get wet.

Next I filled the car with my happy parcels and off to the post office I went.

So, as you can see there is harmony in FunTown yet again as our dream has come true. Our book is a tribute to many of the citizens in town. It has 97 colorful pages.

There is much singing...

And dancing...Happiness reigns in FunTown once more.

If you are interested in getting a signed copy the price is $29.95 with $3.50 shipping in the U.S. Just contact me at my email address.

I hope that all of your dreams come true for each and everyone of you in 2015.

Always Have Silly FunTown Fun....Jody, President of Small Potatoes Publishing Company

The Party's Over...

Hello...Well...I have returned from the Ghoultide Gathering Show. Oh what fun we had. Scott Smith and Bill Gilmore, the RingMasters, once again put on the Greatest Show on Earth. The artists and the guests were all so nice. Yes, a fun time was had by all. I had a great show. There are some pieces left over. So for those of you who couldn't attend I will share these with you. Above is "Fraidy Manor" an 11"x5" haunted house made of felt. This is the curbside view...

Side view...

This is the back yard...notice the Halloween costumes on the clothesline...

Lastly, the other side. I had so much ruin making this. It is a one-of-a-kind and the price is $250.00

This is "Eggy and Peggy"This piece is 7' tall...the eggplant car is made of velveteen and Peggy is made of felt with a lantern. She is $185.00. Also a one-of-a-kind.

This is "Lady Bloodiva" a 12.5" flat, yet slightly stuffed skeleton wearing a vintage silk and organdy gown. Also a one-of-a-kind...$85.00...

This is "Jackie-Can" a 5" tall little party pumpkin tin boy. a one-of-a-kind at $95.00...

This is "Professor Van Hootin...7.5" to the top of his top hat....made of mohair, with wired arms...a-one-of-a-kind...$180.00

And his lady friend..."Woo-Hoo" 5.25" tall...$170.00...one-of-a-kind...

Lastly...

A scene from FunTown...a 19"x15"...on a wooden board with a stand in the back...Petey's Pumpkin Patch. This really got me in the Halloween spirit. A great backdrop for Halloween collections...one-of-a-kind and $250.00.

So...I have never put my work up for sale on my blog...I feel like a Tupperware saleswoman.

Ahhh...It is Sweater Time

It is that time of year...Put away the flip-flops and bring out the turtleneck sweaters. Just think that while we do this the pumpkins are busy getting bigger every day.

The squirrels are out there in gathering their nuts. Sadly, they gather our bird seed as well.

The owls are preparing for the longer nights...

It is time to celebrate the harvest. This is Tutti and Fruity...a happy PAIR...

Every one is scurrying about as soon it will be October and these two will love all of the attention that comes their way.

In FunTown the Fashionistas are shopping for their Harvest Moon Ball Gowns. Yes, it seems a tad early to me too...but it is important to look their best. This way you get more dance partners.

Yes...everyone seems so busy...including me...I am readying for this great show.... The Ghoultide Gathering Show. I highly reccomend this show. So why don't you join us. The artists aren't only talented...they are lots of fun. Plus...they give you candy...How great is that?

This is Sunshines Nellie...a proud citizen of FunTown. She is smiling because they days are getting shorter...this is good for her. Now she can catch up on her T.V. shows.

Have silly sweater fun...Jody

Friends are Good...

Hello...Well...I am having a great day. I received a surprise...Don't you love surprises? The UPS man delivered a parcel from my good friends in California. I was so excited while I was opening it as  these pals have really good taste. Imagine my delight when I saw this awesome toy.  It is amazing that this set remained in tact. The Mother of the child that played with this must have had a large beach bag. I want to go make a sand castle now...Oh...that would mean a bikini...maybe I will hang it in my sewing room instead.

Since I am an ardent fan of tin lithography I thought I would gather a few. It is so fun to display old toys with these old tins. It is like having an excuse to buy more toys.

He so enjoys getting a ride in this little buggy...he would be bored just sitting on a shelf. Monkeys don't like to sit still.

Whooo doesn't like a comfortable little tin cup to nest in with a friend? Plus they are serenaded by this handsome Basso Profundo.

See how fun tins are? Now you have an excuse to buy display pieces.

So to Jami, Janis, Debbee and Carolyn...Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this treasure. I will think of our fun times when I look at my new toy.

Have silly "Friends with good taste are good" fun,   Jody

May Your Doodles be Dandy...

Hello...It is a good day to be a proud American. Here are a few parade participants. I hope they are wearing comfortable shoes.

Here is our honored Grand Marshall for our Fourth of July Parade. He will proudly ride in a shiny red convertible.

After the parade there are many activities that are available for our pleasure. The Movie House is a good alternative as they serve tasty movie snacks, have cool air conditioning and plus it is entertaining. How good is that?

If you have a boat it is a good day to take to the high seas. Maybe you will even find a mermaid. Wow, that would be a treat.

Picnics are fun. Find a scenic spot in a grassy park, bring a basket full of treats and enjoy the fresh air. A note of caution...beware of the hungry little buggers...they love this holiday also...it is like gigantic buffet for them.

A day of hanging around the house is a holiday also. You can catch up on the household errands. A day in the garden with freshly laundered clothes flying in the gentle breeze is a satisfying feeling.

Many of us will go to our town squares for fireworks and live music. We will stand for our national anthem..."The Star Spangled Banner." I usually tear up, so I bring a hankie just in case. There is nothing better than singing this with your friends, family and community.

Dancing in the moonlight...it doesn't get any better than that.

Oh my goodness...after a holiday a good night's sleep is welcome. I hope that your day is a holiday.

A note of caution...don't put firecrackers in your pockets...you will thank me later.

Have a silly "Macaroni Salad" fun day,   Jody
