Postcards from a Weary Earth Angel...

Hello...Here are a few pieces that I made for the Atlanta Country Living Show...From the left is Tippy Top-Hat...a bobble head snowman...then Jolly...a one-of-a-kind Santa and Merry, the HollyBerry Fairy...a special edition of four... this is a quick overview...as it is the end of the first day of the show...and I am one tired Earth Angel.

May I introduce you to "RoseBud" a one-of-a kind that I made for Jen...she is riding in an old tin cup...she is the Homecoming Queen of the Country Living Parade...

Here is Goosey...

This is "Terry" another one-of....Christmas and Scotties seem like a natural combination for me...

This is "Cotton and Candy" a special edition of three for my friend Jen O'Connor of Earth Angels...
It is a treat having such special friends like Jen...

Let me introduce you to "Princess"...a little angel from an old spun cotton party-topper...she has magical fairy dust...who doesn't want a sprinkle of fairy dust?

So let me bid you adieu...as it has been a long day at the Fair...I am at a loss for sparky adjectives as I am ready for a good night's sleep...I don't know how you working people get up each and every day...fight the traffic...choose your outfits...and sparkle for a full day. Kudos to all of you...as I am ready for a quiet day in my sewing room creating a new little fellow to make me smile.

So...You can visit me and my happy fellows at Earth Angels Studios... We wish you were here...

Have silly "Playing at the Fair" Fun,  Jody

Hooray for Harrison Cady...

Hello...Today I thought I would share some images from the talented Harrison Cady...

He is best known for his Peter Rabbit illustrations...in a comic strip and also later in books.

I love his colors and charming well-dressed little characters...

He collaborated with Thornton Burgess for many years.

All of the little fellows in his imagination were surely having fun...Just look at the little bird enjoying his frosty lemonade on top of the umbrella. I am now in the mood to make some bugs.

It appears as though Peter Rabbit is hosting a political rally and he is giving a "stump speech!" It must be interesting as a crowd has gathered.

I have spent the last few days accumulating these images on Google....and I have been cheerfully entertained.

I will definitely be on the lookout for his books. Hopefully you enjoyed my "story hour"...I have to get back to work as next week is the Atlanta Country Living Show

I will be exhibiting under the Earth Angels Tent...please come and join us...

Have "silly storybook" fun,   Jody

Ghosts of Halloween's Past...

Hello...Everywhere I turn I am greeted with Halloween decorations...So I decided to take a sentimental trip down Spooky Lane. I thought I would share some of my Trick-or-Treaters from years past.

So...buckle your seat belts...and don't be "Ascared!"

You will see that I was inspired by some of my favorite postcards...

For a Jolly Hallow's Eve...

OHH NOO! She is stark raven scared...

This is "Little Scary Mary"...she is an exception to my happy rule, as all of my toys are smiling...but Scary Mary is a young little witch in training...

"Bubble-Bubble" Toil and Trouble...Obviously she was a candidate for braces when she was but a wee kitten...but alas, she had a dreaded fear of dentists.

I wanted him to look like a used car salesman...how did I do?

Boo!

This is "Hambone" and "Miss Boney Maroney"...our famous dance partners from FunTown. They like to Shake, Rattle and Roll.

Professor PeaBrain with his textbook "Peas and Q's"..."Eddie Eggplant" and "Little Red" the radish boy. As it is harvest time...is anyone in the mood for vegetable soup?

I think we should all lock our doors.

I had fun gathering all of these little fellows as it brought back wonderful memories. Now I am in the mood for lots of candy treats.

And away he goes...as it is the "Pie Time of Year"

Have silly "spooky" fun,   Jody

A Pleasant Day on my Porch...

Hello...Well...I have been visiting my family so I have not posted for a while. Thank you for your patience with me. I am back here in FunTown and right now I am sitting on my sunny porch. It's a perfect day...one of those special October afternoons when you start to think about apple cider and caramel apples. The house is staring to look like Halloween yet again.

Since I am catching up on orders...I thought we could peek into my toy room once again. This little Indian just realized that Thanksgiving is coming. He wants to leave his tee-pee as it reminds him of those pesky Pilgrims. Yes, they had a lovely dinner but they were party-crashers.

Here are a group of happy folks...They are members of the FunTown Glee Club. They are harmonizing as they prepare for the upcoming Harvest Moon Ball.

These little "Hoots" love this time of year as they get more attention. They also belong to the FunTown Glee Club...they are the altos...

Yes...the entertainment committee has invited the "Jolly Puppeteers" to perform...this is nice because the youngsters love puppets...

Speaking of the entertainment committee...they are taking a risk and having a dancing horse act. There is much excitement because the duck has promised that "Spotty-Two-Step" does the" Cha-Cha-Cha."

Here are just a few of the tourists that are visiting FunTown...It is lovely time to visit as the Pumpkin Patch is in full bloom and everyone likes to take a snapshot with the Great Pumpkin.

Have silly "I Love October" fun,   Jody, your friend wearing a cardigan
